Nicholas is a CPA and served as a corporate finance consultant with over a decade of experience in the music industry, including 6 years in business management. At launch, Nicholas was also enrolled in the MBA program at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business. Josh is an attorney focusing on music and technology as well as an artist manager with over 15 years of experience in the music industry. They came together over their mutual frustration of the business management service model.
While part of the accelerator, we began to raise starting capital from angel investors, complete the UX/UI design for their initial iOS and Android app, and further grow the client base.
After graduating from the Polsky Summer Accelerator, Leftbrain began development on their iOS and Android app while simultaneously growing our client base and perfecting the overall business model.
We are a technology-assisted service that brings together the best of both FinTech and music business management. After listening to our clients and their teams, we developed and will continue to develop technology to manage client tasks and communicate information in a clear and efficient manner. Through our streamlined communication centered within the app, our people are free to focus on driving value back to the client through faster completion of high-level tasks and greater responsiveness to client needs.
Additional app functionality and improvements are currently in development with a release date expected during Q3 of 2020. Leftbrain has also launched a new royalty initiative to help our clients collect what is rightfully theirs. The new royalty department is designed to ensure all client works are properly registered and royalties and revenue is actually collected by the various industry agencies.
To address the rapid growth of our client base, Leftbrain has designed a new client onboarding process that is set to significantly reduce the new client intake time. This is a huge step in creating a scalable service model that reduces new client bottlenecks and ensures all clients receive the same level of exceptional service.
